Plast World is the leading event for the plastics industry in the region. Held annually in Almaty since 2007, the exhibition has become the gathering point for polymer producers, processors, equipment suppliers and buyers from across Eurasia. The 2026 edition is set to be the largest in the project's history.

What's new in 2026

The organising team has reworked the exhibition layout and added three themed zones that reflect the key trends in the global industry. Each zone will bring together specialist exhibitors and its own business programme.

The central focus is the industry's transition to more sustainable production. This requires parallel work across several areas: materials, equipment, waste processing and digitalisation.

  • Biodegradable polymers zone — PLA and PHA materials, starch-based compounds and biodegradation additives.
  • Recycling zone — equipment for mechanical and chemical recycling, sorting lines and regranulate.
  • Industry 4.0 conference — moulding automation, IoT sensors on the shop floor, digital twins and AI-based quality control.

Who will participate

For 2026, the exhibition has been joined by 25 new companies that have not previously worked in the Central Asian market. The exhibitor geography includes 12 new exhibitors from Europe (Germany, Italy, Poland, Turkey), 8 from China and 5 from Korea and Japan. The line-up has also been reinforced by major distributors from the UAE and India.

Among the confirmed brands are European injection-moulding machine manufacturers, Chinese suppliers of extrusion lines and Korean developers of industrial robots for packaging applications. The full list of exhibitors is published on plastworld.kz as participation is confirmed.

Conference programme

The business programme runs over three days. All sessions are in Russian and English with simultaneous interpretation.

  • Day 1 — 18 March. "The Future of the CIS Polymer Market" — open plenary session with industry association participation.
  • Day 2 — 19 March. "Circular Economy in Plastics" — case studies from European companies, a regulatory review and a round table with the Ministry of Ecology.
  • Day 3 — 20 March. "Industry 4.0 in Plastics Manufacturing" — practical workshops from Siemens, Krauss-Maffei and local integrators.
  • Day 3, evening. Networking dinner for VIP exhibitors and buyers by invitation.

How to participate

Stand bookings are open. Three formats are available: shell-scheme stands from 9 m², turnkey custom-built stands and corner stands open on multiple sides. Sponsorship packages with included speaking slots in the business programme and venue branding are also available.
